The FP-45 Liberator was a stamped and rolled sheet metal single-shot pistol manufactured by GM in Dayton OH during WWII, intended to be airdropped to resistance fighters behind enemy lines in a cardboard box with ten rounds of ammunition and instructions in comic strip format. The weapon is generally characterized as being as dangerous to the user as it was to the target.
